Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9, 1976, at Beaumont Puy of Domme. Her parents as a dentist and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for theater and drama at a young stage. This support is more than enough for Audrey to thwart her initial desire to become primatologist. Her rise to fame as a young actress was swift and marked by early success. When she graduated in 1998, her degree she was invited to be a part of Jeunes Premiers, a French TV talent-scouting programme that was sponsored by Canal+. There she received the award for best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to begin her professional acting career. Tautou attended the Institut Catholique de Paris, went to church in her youth and was educated Catholic. She has now distanced herself with the Catholic tradition. In addition to her acting career she started a modeling career. She is also the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited a collection of photographs under the name Superficial. In her photographs, she focuses primarily on celebrity and the spotlight. The camera is turned on journalists who examined her as she rose to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her debut role in the role of the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie gained international attention due to its success at the box office. It was also praised in award ceremonies all over the world. It is currently the top grossing French language movie across the US. In the years following this film, Tautou appeared in many films that ranged from British dramas and Jean Pierre Jeunet's film Un long dimanche de fiancailles. She then moved to Hollywood and appeared alongside Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
